These students have previously lacked successful experiences in school. Due to inappropriate behaviors, they had been sent home on a regular basis, suspended, put on home instruction or on a reduced school day schedule.

The Warren County ESC has developed a program to help school districts meet the needs of these children as well as help these intense children learn different behaviors and achieve successes in their schools, homes and communities. The vision for the program is to return children to their home schools or the Career Center, not to hold students until the time of graduation from school.

The program has reduced the suspension rate by over 50%. However, the major change is that the students are learning academics and feeling success for the first time in their school careers. The WCLC is learning to shift the child's intensity to strengthen his inner self by using powerful strategies to identify any moment as an opportunity for success.

The Warren County Learning Center maintains it's own web site located at:  warrencountylearningcenter.com
